Dangers and threats surround us ubiquitously. We can scrim into the shadows to hide away, turn blind, or to face up to them no matter how intimidating they may be. Surely impassiveness or indifference must mean even a greater danger?

For the business manager, it is also true. For every threat and danger that has been dealt with and put away, the risk of suffering hurt is removed. This is an opportunity. For every threat and danger that the competition has not dealt with will mean gaining a definite competitive edge. Again, this is an opportunity.
